School Council

The School Council is off to a fantastic start this year!
At the beginning of the 2026-2027 academic year, students from across the school put themselves forward for election and voted for their class representatives. We are delighted to have 28 student councillors representing all three pathways and helping to ensure that pupil voice is at the heart of our school community.
School councillors will meet at least once every half term to discuss topics that matter to our students and to help shape school life. As part of their role, councillors will also act as class liaisons, gathering the thoughts and ideas of their classmates and bringing them to council meetings. This helps ensure that every student has the opportunity to have their voice heard, including those who may not wish to attend meetings themselves.
The School Council has already enjoyed its first special event of the year. In November, councillors met with staff from our catering provider, Chartwells, to sample food from the new menu and share their views. Students gave valuable feedback and enjoyed the opportunity to help influence future catering choices within school.
We are excited to see what the School Council achieves over the coming year and look forward to sharing their ideas, projects, and successes with our wider school community.
