Langley Class is part of the post 16 provision in school. Pupils can access this provision until the end of year 14.

To gain a place in the post 16 provision pupils would have been identified as having severe learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder and continue to require a special school placement.

The class is supported by an Enhanced Teaching Assistant and a Teaching Assistant.

As this is a Semi-Formal group the class teacher delivers the majority of the curriculum with some specific subject teaching input- such as PE and Enterpise. Other opportunities are provided for students by external providers such as, music lessons, career workshops and fitness sessions. Pupils in this class benefit from having a class-based curriculum focusing in part upon a drive towards greater independence and transition / Post 19.
