Bowes Class is part of the Key Stage 4 Department and currently has 8 pupils.

The pupils in this Semi-Formal group are Year 10 and Year 11 and have a range of special educational needs including severe learning difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

The class is overseen by the Class Teacher and supported by an Enhanced Teaching Assistant, a Teaching Assistant and a 1:1 support member of staff .

As this is a Semi-Formal group the class teacher delivers the majority of the curriculum with some specific subject teaching input ( such as PE, RMDT and RSE) Pupils in this class benefit from having a class-based curriculum focusing in part upon a drive towards greater independence and transition / Post 16.
